About Us
Ana is a proud mom of two beautiful, caring and talented young girls and also takes on the role of VP of Business Development here at Pepper North Artisan Foods. Ana immigrated to Canada from Nicaragua with her family in October of 1988 at the age of 4. Settling in Toronto and growing up with limited financial means, Ana was determined to pave her own path and create the future that she would otherwise not have had. Watching her parents struggle to raise 4 children, Ana was motivated to work hard in school and became the first person in her family to graduate from post-secondary education.
Ana has always been ambitious and incredibly driven, but also very passionate about becoming a strong female role model for her children and also other female entrepreneurs. As a member of Canadian Women in Food, Ana gives back to the community by sharing her experiences in business and motivating like minded individuals to succeed. When she is not working on new business or speaking with current customers, Ana enjoys exercising with her family, movie nights at home and unwinding with a glass of wine.
Drew is the proud dad of two beautiful girls and takes on the role of Operations Manager here at Pepper North Artisan Foods. Drew was born in a small town north of the GTA in Ontario, Canada. From a young age, Drew has had a knack for combining interesting ingredients and tasting the nuances often missed in many foods. As a child, his mom would say that “he could tell the milk was going bad days before it actually did”.
After spending over a decade working in an entirely unrelated field, in 2013 he decided to strike out on his own and start Pepper North, returning to his roots and following his passion for growing hot peppers. With each fall harvest, he began crafting various hot sauces and started offering them for sale online and at local farmers markets. Drew holds the distinguished honour of developing each of Pepper Norths’ sauces, and has been known to go through more than 100 test batches before deciding on a final recipe. When he is not packing orders, developing new recipes or interacting with customers on social media, Drew enjoys the outdoors, working with animals and spending quality time with family.
Jhumki is a proud new mother to 2-month-old Star, and has been a valuable member of the Pepper North team since joining us in early 2021. Born in Kolkata, India, she has lived in Ontario, Canada since 2013. With a master’s degree in English Literature and post graduate degrees in Social Media Marketing and Integrated Marketing Communication, Jhumki’s talents were an immediate asset to our team.
With years of experience working with more than 200 brands across North America, a keen love for hot sauce, and a passion for small business, Jhumki’s work can be seen across all of our social media channels. When she is not creating Instagram content or recording Reels for Pepper North, Jhumki enjoys photography, blogging, travelling and watching movies with her family.
